Barbara Ann 'Bobbi' Sanchez, 73, of North Salem

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – Barbara Ann “Bobbi” Sanchez of Croton Falls and North Salem died Oct. 14 at Quail Run Apartments in Springfield, Mass. She was 73. 

Sanchez was born March 5, 1939, in Croton Falls. She married John Sanchez on Sept. 15, 1962, at St. Joseph’s Church in Croton Falls. She worked as a bus driver and lunch lady for the North Salem School District for many years. 

She also took part in home businesses, such as Beeline Fashion, Tupperware and Christmas Around the World. Sanchez enjoyed being able to travel the world with John. In 1980, she and her husband opened a family restaurant in Brewster called Casa De Sanchez. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Juan “John” B. Sanchez. She is survived by three sons, John, Lawrence and James; three daughters-in-law, Melanie, Susan and Connie; and four grandchildren. 

Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Beecher Funeral Home in Brewster. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Church in Croton Falls. Burial will follow at Peach Pond Cemetery in North Salem. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
