Monday, July 30

Fire Department Fundraiser: 5 - 9 p.m. Cool down with the Croton Falls Fire Department at Purdy's Farmer & the Fish. Guest bartenders Peter Kamenstein and Bob Daros will donate tips to the Croton Falls Fire Department along with a donation from the restaurant. Purdys Farmer & the Fish, 100 Titicus Road, North Salem.

Drop-in Art at the Library: 7 p.m. Maggie Zander will show the routes to creative fun. Everyone is welcome. There is no fee and no registration, and the basic materials are supplied. Ruth Keeler Memorial Library, 276 Titicus Road, North Salem.

Tuesday, July 31

Your Own Puppet Show: 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Children of all ages are welcome to come and spend the day as puppeteers. No registration is necessary and there is no fee. It’s at the Ruth Keeler Memorial Library, 276 Titicus Road, North Salem.

Wednesday, Aug. 1

Board Games at the Library: 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Play board games, or any other kind of games, all day at the library. The event is suitable for children of all ages. Bring your own games or play with ones you find there. It’s at the Ruth Keeler Memorial Library, 276 Titicus Road, North Salem.

Block Party at the Library: 11 a.m. Budding architects and engineers of all ages can build with the library’s supply of blocks every Wednesday during the summer. Ruth Keeler Memorial Library, 276 Titicus Road, North Salem.

North Salem Planning Board: 7:30 p.m. The Planning Board will meet in the Town Hall Annex, 274 Titicus Road, North Salem.

Thursday, Aug. 2

Drawing With Maggie Zander: 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. This is another in the eight-session weekly course geared to adults over 55 and funded by a grant from Creative Aging in New York State Libraries. The library will supply all the materials. Call the library at 914-669-5161 to reserve a space. Ruth Keeler Memorial Library, 276 Titicus Road, North Salem.

The Nature of Things: 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.  Debbie Mumford will be on hand to introduce an assortment of her animal critters and talk about their needs and personalities.
