Monday, June 18

Defensive Driving Course: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. An AARP Defensive Driving Course will be offered at the Somers Library for members and non-members of AARP. Call the library to register: (914) 232-5717. The Somers Library is at 82 Primrose St. in Reis Park.

Grade Five Moving-Up Ceremony: 11:30 a.m. Fifth graders leaving the Pequanakonck School will have a farewell ceremony in the North Salem Middle/High School Auditorium. The school is at 230 June Road, North Salem.

Tuesday, June 19

Meeting of the Board of Education: 7:30 p.m. The board will meet in the library of the Middle/High School, 230 June Road, North Salem.

Wednesday, June 20

North Salem High School Graduation: 6:30 p.m. The graduation ceremony for the Class of 2012 will be at Caramoor on Pea Pond Road in Katonah.

The Wiz: 7:30 p.m. Ease on down the road with Dorothy, Tin Man, Lion and Scarecrow in the modern version of The Wizard of Oz. This is the third presentation of the Theatre Arts Studio, a group formed by four local women in 2011. There will be a second performance June 22. The show takes place at North Salem High School, 230 June Road. Tickets are $15 at the door. Call (914) 277-8960 for more information. Tickets will also be sold in advance for $10 in the Middle/High School lobby on June 18 from 2 - 6 p.m., June 19 from 2 - 4 p.m. and June 20 from 2 - 4 p.m. 

Thursday, June 21

Stepping Up at WEC: 10 a.m. The annual Stepping Up Ceremony at the Westchester Exceptional Children's School will take place in the school auditorium, 520 Route 22 in Purdys.
