Friday, 8:30 p.m. If you’ve ever been a fan of Tom Petty, R.E.M. or the Everly Brothers, you might like to catch High Irons. Their covers are pure and their original work is fluid and strong. Tickets: $12.50 in advance, $17.50 at the door.

Saturday, 8:30 p.m. Back to the Garden 1969 is their name. The group of five musicians got together just to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Woodstock and had such a good time, they never broke up. Tickets: $20 in advance, $25 at the door.

Sunday, 7:30 p.m. Lugwrench: Trying to keep their spirits up through the recent long, frigid winter, five experienced musicians got together to create “a big sound at a low volume.” Inspired by U2, Pink Floyd, the Beatles and Elvis Costello, their goal is to “take the crowd on a trip with us.” Tickets: $10.

Friday, 8 p.m. “Music at Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello” will include violins, bagpipes, flutes, guitars, banjos, piano, cello, voices and an amazing “glass armonica,” similar to one invented by Benjamin Franklin. Tickets: $30 - $40, children under 16, half price.

Saturday, 12:30 p.m. It’s the “American Roots Music Festival” with the David Grisman FolkJazz Trip, Ollabelle, James Maddock, Brother Sun, the Sweetback Sisters and Spuyten Duyvil. Tickets: $20 - $40, children under 16, half price.

Sunday, 8 p.m. Celebrate America’s birthday with “Pops, Patriots and Fireworks.” Music by the Orchestra of St. Luke’s. Tickets: $30 - $70, children under 16, half price.

Sunday, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. The Muscoot Fourth of July celebration features old-fashioned games and ice-cream making. Bring the kids or grandkids. No admission fee.

Saturday, 6 p.m. A Concert by the United States Army Field Band and Soldiers’ Chorus will be held at the school field. In case of rain, the concert will be held indoors. No admission fee.
