Robert Palazzo, Formerly of North Salem, Dies

Robert Clayton Palazzo, a former resident of North Salem, passed away on Wednesday at the age of 70. He was a retired plumber and worked as a teacher’s assistant at Green Chimneys. Mr. Palazzo attended St. Joseph’s Church in Croton Falls, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a past member of the Goldens Bridge Fire Department and an active member of the BPO Elks Lodge 2101 in Brewster.

Robert Palazzo is survived by his wife, Catherine, his daughter, Mary Palazzo Harrison, his brother, Richard Palazzo and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by two children, a son, Robert, in 1985, and a daughter, Suzanne, in 1991.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19, at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster. It will be followed by internment of the ashes at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Somers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in his memory to the American Heart Association, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220.
