Old Salem Horse Show Tops The News This Week

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – Competitors at North Salem’s Old Salem Farm were in the final laps of the Spring Horse Show, with Todd Minikus winning the $50,000 Old Salem Farm Grand Prix on May 12 and Christine McCrea winning the $25,000 New York Welcome Stake.

Republican Andrea Rendo of South Salem announced her candidacy in the November election for District 2 Legislator, challenging incumbent Democrat Peter Harckham of North Salem.
Four candidates, running on May 21 for three open seats on the North Salem Board of Education, replied to questions posed by The Daily Voice. The candidates are incumbents Deborah D’Agostino and Katherine Daniels and challengers Julie Cherico and Jennifer Binette.
