North Salem Sons Rate Their Dads

Father’s Day is nearly here and some local kids said they have a dad worth celebrating.

Nine-year-old Jake Wolfe said his dad is “really funny. He tells jokes.”

Jake said one of the best things they have done together was go to a NASCAR race.

“It was fun,” he said. “There were a lot of crashes.”

Will Armbruster, 6, really likes his father because “he flies rockets with me.”

Gibb Good, 12, had a lot to say about his dad.

“We do a lot of stuff together. He likes to do a lot of the things I like to do,” Gibb said. “There’s an old car in the barn and we’re working on that together. And right now we’re working on the pool. It’s got a big leak.”

Gibb’s mother Andrea said her son enjoys finding things to do with his dad.

“The worst thing you can tell Gibb,” she said, “is that there are no chores to do with Dad this weekend.”

“We’ve got a lot in common,” Gibb said.

Ryan Renda, 9, thought his father, Dan, is “nice.”

“He takes care of me,” Ryan said.

Ryan’s six-year-old brother, Matthew, had a different reason for liking their father.

“He helped create me,” he said.
