North Salem Police Impound Scofflaw’s Car

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. - A 2008 Honda Accord parked at the Back Street parking lot in Croton Falls was impounded on the morning of April 17 and towed away to Fields Lane at police request. The vehicle’s owner was charged with a parking violation and non-payment of $1,000 in fines to the North Salem Town Court.

The following items also were reported by North Salem police:

Lost Dog: A resident of Silo Ridge Road informed police of a lost dog found walking Sunday along Route 121. Officer Paul Smith took the dog to the North Salem Police Station, where it was reclaimed by its owner.

Motorcycle Accident: On Sunday, North Salem police assisted New York State Police in aiding a motorcyclist who crashed his vehicle on Route 22 in Purdys. The injured person was taken to the Westchester Medical Center to be treated for possible broken ribs and back pain.

June Road Shoulder Repairs: Police report the shoulder work along the west side of June Road is expected to be completed Tuesday.
