Farewell to North Salem's First Female Supervisor

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. - Jeanette McNamara, who was the first female Town Clerk in North Salem and later the first female Town Supervisor, passed away on Saturday at the age of 89.

She is survived by two sons, Kevin Fagan of Brewster and Joseph Fagan of Gloucester, VA, and two daughters, Eileen and Maureen McNamara of Marietta, GA. She was predeceased by her son Peter Fagan, her daughter, Ann Marie Mueller, her first husband, Peter Fagan and her second husband, Joseph McNamara.

Friends are invited to call at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Burial Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church in Croton Falls on Wednesday at 10 a.m., followed by private interment.
