A North Salem institution, 121 is a great place to take your family, a date or just yourself. The menu is eclectic and includes salads, sandwiches, pastas, meat and fish entrees and wood-fired pizza. Open every day for lunch and dinner.
Outdoor arrangements: A flagstone patio with large umbrellas (and heat lamps for chilly nights). Six or eight smaller tables on the covered porch.
Dinner price range: Starters $9-$14, pizzas $12-$17, entrees $23-$35
721 Titicus Road, North Salem, 914-669-5450
Vox was named for the local theater in the restaurant owners hometown in France. The cuisine is typically French and the movie theme is carried outside to the terrace where French movies are shown during dinner in the summer. Closed Monday and Tuesday. Not open for lunch at the present time.
Outdoor arrangements: Dining under large umbrellas on a terrace overlooking the gardens and lawn.

Chef/owner Gary Mongero is a graduate of Somers High School and The New York Restaurant School. He is personally involved in everything from preparation to service. The menu, written on a blackboard, varies daily and stresses organic produce. Open for lunch and dinner Tuesday-Friday. Dinner only, Saturday-Sunday. Closed Mondays.
Outdoor arrangements: About a dozen tables on the fenced-in patio which offer a feeling of calm and privacy.
11 Old Tomahawk Street, Granite Springs, 914-248-7200
Elegant and traditional in ambience, service and cuisine, the emphasis is Italian. Steak, poultry and some fish dishes also on the menu. Nightly specials vary daily.
Outdoor arrangements: Several lovely patios surrounded by trees and flowering shrubs, including one under an awning and another under a large tent.
Dinner price range: Appetizers $8-$15, pizzas $9-$14, entrees $18-$39

Southern Italian cuisine supervised by Naples-born chef, Antonio Perillo. Among the specialities are homemade pasta and osso buco. A tapas menu is available at dinnertime from Tuesday to Thursday. Open for lunch and dinner Tuesday-Sunday. Closed on Monday.
Outdoor arrangements: Umbrella tables on a large stone patio, surrounded by trees and shrubs.
Dinner price range: Tapas, $7-$10, pasta $15-$20, entrees $18-$26
The Pinnacle at Heritage Hills
(Somers Pointe Golf Club) 1000 West Hill Drive, Somers, 914-276-3300
The restaurant at this private golf club is open to the public year round. The menu offers Italian and American dishes and pizzas are the flatbread variety. Open for lunch and dinner and Sunday brunch (11:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.)
Outdoor arrangements: A lovely terrace overlooking the manicured golf course. An additional brick patio, equally lovely, is also sometimes open.
