Now in North Salem -- Rocky II

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. - Good news! Rocky is home.

Rocky made the news on June 20 when The Daily North Salem learned that the seven-year-old spaniel had wandered away from his home on Titicus Road a week earlier. His owner, Carol Bartlik, had posted Lost Dog flyers and he may have been spotted several times but he managed to evade capture.

For another week, there was no word. But while Bartlik and concerned dog lovers were biting their nails in grief, Rocky was comfortably ensconced at the Ridgefield Dog Pound, warm, dry, well-fed and getting lots of attention.

He had been found and turned over to the Pound on June 15. They were unable to identify him until someone saw a flyer, recognized him and contacted Bartlik. She is very happy to have him home but he is remaining silent about the details of his adventure.
