Friends of Karen, the Purdys-based not-for-profit organization which assists children with life-threatening illnesses and their families, will be the beneficiary of An Evening at Gotham Comedy Club, on Wednesday, October 26.
The funds raised will be earmarked for Adinas Angel Fund, a program developed by Paula Berkowitz, who lost her daughter, Adina, to leukemia, shortly after losing both her husband and her son. Friends of Karen was there to help her through the tragedy, and organizing the Adinas Angel Fund was her way of repaying its kindness.
Improv star Marion Grodin will host the evening. Performers will include Wali Collins, Kevin Flynn, Ted Alexandro and a surprise guest.
Tickets are $125 (including the cocktail reception, priority seating and an open bar during the show) or $75 (including two drinks).
The Gotham Comedy Club is located at 208 West 23rd Street (between 7th and 8th Avenues) in New York. Parking for Gotham patrons is available around the corner at a charge of $15. Click here for ticket information.
