Do-Si-Do and Allemande Left at St. James Dance

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. - There is an old-fashioned barn on Mills Road and it is going to host the St. James Episcopal Church’s 5th annual Square Dance on Saturday, October 22, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Professional caller Sandy Corey will run the show. “It’ll be a real hoedown,” said Susan Koch, one of the organizers. “A real family event. It’s open to everyone. There’ll be hotdogs and hamburgers and beer. Last year we had 150 people. We hope for even more this year.

“Everybody wears a cowboy hat and the men wear plaid shirts.” No experience is necessary and everyone is guaranteed to have fun. So -- honor your partner and promenade down!

The barn is located at 315 Mills Road. The suggested contribution is $20 for adults, $10 for children 12 and under. For more information, call 914-669-5563.
