WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. — Max is a senior shepherd/lab mix who is waiting for his forever home. Max is friendly and can’t wait to play and go for walks. He’s great with people, but needs to be in a home without other pets.

Max is part of the shelter’s foster program, which means he is eligible for a waived adoption fee. In addition, all approved veterinary costs are covered.

Dogs are viewable at the Putnam Humane Society from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily.
