Basket Workshop: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Westchester Basketmakers Guild will teach you how to weave a handsome bedside storage basket. The fee is $60. Materials are included. It’s at Muscoot Farm, Route 100, 1½ miles south of Route 35 in Somers.
Holiday Wreath-making: 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. A lesson in making holiday decorations is offered at Lasdon Park. All materials are provided. The fee is $30 per person. Pre-registration is required. Call (914) 864-7268. Lasdon Park is on Route 35 in Somers.
Holiday Origami: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Children age 5 and older can take a free lesson in making holiday origami decorations if they are accompanied by an admission-paying adult. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors. It’s at the Hammond Museum, 28 Deveau Road, North Salem.
S.T.E.A.M. at the Ruth Keeler: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Drop by to see hands-on demonstrations and workshops in 3-D printing, soldering, circuitry, rockets, robotics, scratch video game design and more. The program is designed for children age 6 and older, but everyone is invited to visit. Participants must register ahead. Call (914) 669-5161. Treasure Hunt: 1 to 3 p.m. People of all ages are invited to join the Treasure Hunt for some of the hidden wonders at Muscoot Farm. Clues will be given along the route. Muscoot Farm is on Route 100, 1½ miles south of Route 35 in Somers.
Growing Herbs Indoors: 2 to 3 p.m. Learn which herbs grow best indoors and how to can help them survive through the winter. There is no charge. It’s at Lasdon Park and Arboretum, Route 35, Somers.
