The performance will benefit North Salem’s Robson and Baumler families, who lost their sons in a tragic accident during Hurricane Sandy.

“Everyone wants to do something to help those families,” said Krass. “We did this play in town once before, to benefit victims of Katrina. It’s beautifully written."

“Love Letters” is a two-person play. The script is an intimate correspondence between a man and a woman from their childhood through their middle age.

It was first performed at New Haven’s Long Wharf Theater in 1988, and has had many revivals, featuring actors including Kathleen Turner, George Grizzard, Philip Bosco, Julie Harris, Anthony Heald, Richard Kiley, Dana Ivey, William Hurt, Christopher Reeve, George Segal, Christopher Walken, Colleen Dewhurst, Kate Nelligan, Robert Vaughn, Timothy Hutton, Elizabeth Taylor, James Earl Jones and more.

Everyone is invited to attend. Donations of any amount will be accepted at the door.

“Love Letters” will be presented in the auditorium of the North Salem High School at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 8. The school is at  230 June Road, North Salem.
