Traffic Alert: Route 303 To Close In Rockland County For Sewer Main Repairs Motorists in the region will face another road closure this weekend on a busy roadway due to sewer main repairs. The closure will occur in Rockland County on Route 303 between Route 20 (Orangeburg Road) and Erie Street in Orangetown from Friday, Jan. 26 at 8 p.m. through 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29, according to the State Department of Transportation. Motorists should use the posted detour as an alternate to prevent backups. Drivers are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding. Road Closure Alert: I-84 Construction Work To Limit Lanes In Newburgh Construction work on I-84 in the Hudson Valley will reduce the highway to one lane in each direction on weeknights for several months. The state Department of Transportation is advising Orange County motorists to expect one lane to close along I-84 in each direction between Exit 36 (I-87) and Exit 39 (Route 9W) in the town of Newburgh on weeknights beginning Monday, June 12. Closure Scheduled For Route 9W In Area The state Department of Transportation is advising motorists to expect Route 9W to close in both directions this weekend. The highway will be closed in Rockland County between Shadyside Avenue and Hickey Street in the town of Orangetown on Saturday, Oct. 15, between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m., to facilitate roadway repairs, weather permitting, state DOT officials said.
