The incident took in Orange County around 1:50 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 20 in the city of Newburgh. According to Trooper Steven Nevel, of the New York State Police, Robert A. The murder took place in Orange County on Thursday, Sept. 29, in the City of Newburgh. City of Newburgh Police Commissioner Jose Gomerez announced Tuesday, Nov. 22 that Lamont Williams, age 29, no known address, was arrested in North Carolina following a months-long investigation. One Injured In Newburgh Shots-Fired Incident, Police Say One person was injured during a shots-fired incident in the area. It happened in Orange County around 1:30 a.m., Saturday, July 23 in Newburgh, on Liberty Street. According to Newburgh Police, officers responded to the area of 79 Liberty St. for a Shotspotter report of five shots fired. Less than a minute later the department received another report of rounds fired on Washington Street, police said.
