A 43-year-old man will spend years behind bars after admitting to drinking, doing drugs, driving, crashing through a Westchester storefront, and pinning a mother and her infant under his vehicle. Yonkers resident David Poncurak pleaded guilty in November 2021 to multiple charges after striking a mother and child with his car after crashing through the front window of an area barbershop earlier this year. Alert Issued For Wanted Area Suspect
Have you seen him? Investigators from the Ramapo Police Department have issued an alert for 41-year-old Raul Idrovo-Barrera, who is wanted in the area on several charges after allegedly driving while impaired and failing to show up for court appearances. According to police, Idrovo-Barrera is wanted on charges that include driving while intoxicated, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and disobeying a traffic control device. DWI Congers Man Leaves Scene Of Crash, Police Say
Police busted a Rockland County man for his second DWI early on Tuesday morning during a traffic stop in Nyack. Shortly after 1 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22, officers from the Orangetown Police Department stopped Anthony Vero, 36, on Franklin Street after he was involved in an alleged motor vehicle crash while operating his vehicle while intoxicated. Following a brief investigation into the crash, Vero was arrested and charged with felony counts of driving while intoxicated and first-degree unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
