Truck Slams Into Overpass On Parkway In Hudson Valley: Was Following GPS, Police Say Multiple lanes of a busy parkway in Northern Westchester had to be temporarily closed after a truck crashed into an overpass, police said. The incident happened on Saturday, Jan. 27 just before 1 p.m., when a box truck crashed into the Bedford Road overpass on the northbound Saw Mill River Parkway near Exit 28 in Pleasantville, according to Westchester County Police Public Information Officer Kieran O'Leary. Man Caught With Illegal, Loaded Handgun In I-84 Stop A traffic stop on I-84 in Dutchess County led to weapons charges for a man in possession of an illegal handgun. State Police troopers from the Wappinger barrack stopped Bronx resident Brandon Burgess at approximately 11 a.m. on Thursday morning in Fishkill after he committed a violation of vehicle and traffic law. During the subsequent traffic stop, troopers said that Burgess was found to have a suspended license and was also in possession of an illegally loaded handgun.
