10-Year-Old Struck By Car Outside Store In Wallkill A 10-year-old was injured after being hit by a car near a popular Hudson Valley store. The incident took place in Orange County around 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6 near the TJ Maxx store at 88 Dunning Road in Wallkill. When Wallkill police arrived on the scene they found a 2013 Hyundai Elantra with two occupants, had struck an adult and a child, said Wallkill Deputy Chief of Police Antonino Spano.  The adult and child were transported by the Town of Wallkill Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Garnet Health Medical Center. Man Injured In Random Shooting Outside Orange County Restaurant A Hudson Valley man was shot during an assault in front of an area restaurant. The incident took place around 9:18 p.m., Wednesday, April 14 in Orange County in front of the You You Asian Cusine Restaurant in Wallkill. When officers responded to the restaurant at 465 Route 211 East, they found a 48-year old Walden resident suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen, said Town of Wallkill Chief of Police Robert C. Woman Killed In Orange County Crash With Tractor-Trailer A 77-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash between a vehicle and a tractor-trailer on Route 17K. The crash took. place around 10:20 a.m., Wednesday, March 3, in Orange County on Route 17K and Long Lane in the town of Wallkill, State Police Trooper Steven Nevel said. Man Found Dead Near Diner, Gas Station In Wallkill A dead man was inside a car for hours before being located outside a gas station next to a Hudson Valley diner, police said. Shortly after 4 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23, Wallkill Police Sgt. Jeremy Warner observed a “suspicious vehicle” in the parking lot of the City gas station on Highway 17K near the Quickway Diner.  Police said that the investigation into the suspicious vehicle found a 25-year-old Port Jervis resident inside “slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle.” The man, whose identity was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Town of Wallkill Volunteer…

Narcan Used To Rescue Wallkill Woman, 24, Who Overdosed Wallkill Sgt. Daniel Ward and Police Officer Daniel Graham responded to an  Emergency Medical Services call  earlier this month at a residence on Meadow Lakes Drive.   Upon arrival, the officers discovered a 24-year-old female from the Town of Wallkill unconscious on a bedroom floor. The victim was unresponsive and demonstrating signs of an overdose.
