An investigation by police determined that a vehicle traveling on the roadway had lost control, causing it to strike a parked vehicle. ID Released For Chester 23-Year-Old Killed In Old Route 17 Crash State police have released the identity of a Hudson Valley man killed in a crash with a tree truck on a busy roadway. The crash took place in Orange County in the town of Tuxedo on Old Route 17 around 7:30 a.m., Monday, April 18, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Ahkem Chu III, age 23, of Chester, was driving a 2007 Honda Accord southbound on Old Route 17 when for unknown reasons he crossed over into the northbound lane and struck a tree truck that was fully loaded, Nevel said. Seen Him? Suspect Wanted For Sexual Abuse Of Child In Rockland Police are asking the public for help in locating a man wanted for sexual abuse in Rockland County. Ramapo police are searching for Jose Carpio-Pleites, 70, who is wanted for attempted sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child in connection with an incident that took place in August 2017, police said. Carpio-Pleites is described as being 5-foot-6, 180 lbs with brown eyes and grey hair.  Anyone with information regarding Carpio-Pleites' whereabouts is asked to contact the Town of Ramapo Police Department at 845-357-2400.
