Duo Nabbed In Area With Loaded Shotgun, Child In Vehicle, Police Say
Two men are facing criminal charges after they were allegedly caught with a loaded shotgun in their car in the area, police said.
Dutchess County residents Christopher Craft Sr., age 55, and Jeremy Craft, age 32, both of Rhinebeck, were arrested following a traffic stop Wednesday, April 20, in Hyde Park.
New York State Police said troopers initially stopped their van on State Route 9 for “numerous violations” before finding the loaded Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun inside.
Both men had prior criminal convictions that barred them from possessing a firearm, police said.

Driver Caught After Running Over Officer's Foot, Crashing Into Area Town Hall, Fleeing Police
A 21-year-old driver with an active warrant for his arrest ran over an officer's foot, collided with a Jeep, then crashed his car into Hyde Park Town Hall, and injured his passenger as he fled from a traffic stop, police said.
Hezekiah Mitchell of Poughkeepsie, police said, was pulled over on State Route 9 at approximately 10:35 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6 when he was spotted driving erratically by Hyde Park Police officers in his black 2010 Acura.

On Saturday, Jan. 4, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Billy J. Batalla Fuentes, 26, of Peekskill, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9 in the village of Croton-on-Hudson, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
