School Bus Hits 2 Teens, 78-Year-Old Driver Leaves Scene In Hudson Valley: Police A school bus driven by a 78-year-old man hit two 16-year-olds before then leaving the scene in Westchester County, police said.  The incident happened on Tuesday morning, Jan. 31 in Yonkers when the two teens were crossing the street while the bus turned left from Warburton Avenue onto Lamartine Avenue, Yonkers Police Public Information Officer Dean Politopoulos said.  The two teens suffered minor injuries and were treated at a hospital. Multi-Vehicle Crash Shuts Down Stretch Of Busy Orange County Roadway A busy roadway in the area is shut down to one lane following a seven-vehicle crash including a school bus with eight students aboard. The crash took place early Wednesday, Jan. 26, on Route 17 in the Orange County town of Wallkill, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Although one lane of traffic has opened, traffic is being diverted at Crystal Run Road, Nevel said. No information regarding injuries was available at this time. Pickup Truck Driver Cited For Following Too Closely In Route 17 Crash With School Bus A 57-year-old pickup truck driver has been charged in the crash on Route 17 with a school bus that injured five students. The crash took place around 7:45 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 20, in Sullivan County eastbound in Mamakating between the bus and a pickup truck, said New York State Trooper Steve Nevel. Injuries Reported In Rockland School Bus Crash Two drivers suffered injuries after a car and school bus collided in Rockland County. Ramapo police said the crash occurred around 9:10 a.m. Monday in the area of 399 Route 306 in the Village of Wesley Hills.  The school bus was not occupied by students and both the driver of the bus and the other vehicle sustained minor injuries, police said. Route 306 was closed while the vehicles were removed but has reopened.
