Dean's List College Student From Area Found Dead In Dorm Room A college student from the Hudson Valley has died at age 20. Dutchess County resident Cory Gallinger, of Salt Point, a junior at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, was found unresponsive in his dorm room on Sunday, March 21, according to college officials. The cause of death has not been released. On Monday, March 22, a vigil was held outside a chapel on campus, with approximately 1,000 attending, according to Syracuse.com. Woman ID'd As Victim Of Fatal Route 9 Crash A 32-year-old local woman has been identified as the victim in a fatal two-vehicle crash on Route 9. New York State Police said Mindy R. Dohrenwend of Hyde Park was killed around 11:45 a.m., Sunday, March 10, on Route 9 (Albany Post Road) in the town of Hyde Park. Dohrenwend was driving a 2005 Honda CRV northbound on Albany Post Road when she apparently lost control of her vehicle. Four Store Clerks Charged In Dutchess Underage Drinking Detail Store clerks from four businesses were charged with selling alcoholic beverages to an undercover state police operative in a detail held in Dutchess County. The detail was held in the towns of Hyde Park and Poughkeepsie on Saturday, Sept. 1. Fourteen additional establishments were checked and found to be in compliance.
