Earlier report: East Fishkill police are asking motorists to avoid Route 82 in Dutchess County due to a crash that has blocked traffic.  The crash occurred around 1:40 p.m. Monday between Palen and Lake Walton roads, according to dispatchers with the East Fishkill Police Department. Although traffic is being rerouted, an officer on duty asks that drivers avoid the area due to downed poles and wires from the crash. This is a developing story.
