IDs Released For Man Charged With DWI, Woman Killed In Area Crash
The identities of the 26-year-old man charged with driving while intoxicated and the woman killed in a crash across from the Westchester County Center in White Plains have been released. Glen Robinson, of Saw Mill River Road in Elmsford, was taken into custody by Westchester County Police at the crash scene on Saturday morning, Aug. 24. He was treated for minor injuries at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla and booked on the DWI charge at county police headquarters following his discharge from the hospital Saturday, according to Westchester County Police. This story has been updated. Police have found the car and driver wanted in association with a suspicious incident involving a 10-year-old boy on his way to school in Westchester. The incident took place around 8:10 a.m. Tuesday when the boy, who attends Main Street School in Irvington, was standing near the corner of Meadow Street and Millbrook Avenue off Route 119 in Tarrytown waiting for his school bus. Girder Work Starts On New TZB, Leading To I-87 Lane Closures
The latest round of lane and ramp closures near the new Tappan Zee Bridge have been announced as crews continue working on the Rockland and Westchester landings. Beginning on Monday night, May 7, crews from Tappan Zee Constructors will begin preparation for the installation of steel girders and concrete deck panels for the bridge over River Road at the Rockland landing. More Lane, Ramp Closures Scheduled For I-87 Near New Tappan Zee Bridge
The latest overnight lane and ramp closures near the new Tappan Zee Bridge have been announced as crews continue working on the Westchester landing. Beginning on Wednesday night, Tappan Zee Constructors will continue installing new precast concrete slabs near the Westchester landing, which will create a new base roadway for the twin-span crossing’s connection to the New York State Thruway, according to officials.
