Woman Faces Prostitution Charge After New Windsor Police Go Undercover A woman has been charged with prostitution after police completed an undercover operation in the Hudson Valley. On Monday, June 13 in Orange County, the New Windsor Police Department conducted the investigation at the A & A Spa, located on Windsor Highway, after receiving a complaint from a customer that prostitution was occurring inside the business.  During the investigation, an undercover police officer was offered sexual conduct in return for a fee by an employee of the spa, New Windsor Police said. Four Orange County Businesses Nabbed Selling Booze To Minor, Police Say Four Hudson Valley businesses were busted for selling alcohol to a minor during a sting operation. The operation took place in Orange County in New Windsor and Newburgh on Thursday, June 9. New Windsor Man Killed In House Fire, Police Say A Hudson Valley man was found dead inside a home following a residential structure fire. Orange County resident Roger A. Smith, age 60 of New Windsor was found around 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 13, following a house fire in New Windsor, officials said. According to New Windsor Police Chief Robert Doss, the fire started around 7 p.m. at 17 Shaw Road. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found the home fully engulfed in flames and smoke, Doss said. Firefighting operations were started and firefighters made an interior entry to search the interior as well as fight the fire.  …

Motorist With Multiple DWI Arrests Busted Again For Impaired Driving In Area An area man with multiple DWI arrests was busted over the weekend once again for alleged impaired driving, police said. Orange County resident Michael Burgher, of Washingtonville, 54, was stopped late on Saturday, Sept. 12 in Orange County when he committed a traffic violation in New Windsor, Police Chief Robert Doss announced. During the subsequent traffic stop, it was determined that Burgher was under the influence, and he was taken into custody.  Further investigation found that Burgher has four prior felony DWI convictions and two misdemeanor convictions for DWI.
