Man Pleads Guilty In Connection To Lawnmower Crash That Killed Brother A Rockland County man may spend time behind bars after admitting to his role in a lawnmower crash that led to the death of his younger brother. Sloatsburg resident Raymond Mackey, 31, pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, the Rockland County District Attorney announced on Tuesday, Dec. 24. ID Released For Man Killed While Riding Lawn Mower With Brother On Route 17 Police have released the identity of a Sloatsburg man who was killed while riding a lawn mower on Route 17 with his brother when they were hit by a car. Richard M. Mackey, 29, died early Monday, May 20, from his injuries, said Ramapo Police.  His brother Raymond Mackey, also 29, from Sloatsburg, is believed to be the driver of the lawn mower and is currently hospitalized with serious injuries at this time, police added.
