Area Man Charged With Cocaine Possession After Traffic Stop
A man was arrested for alleged felony cocaine possession following a traffic stop in Northern Westchester. Dutchess County resident Daniel R. Usher, age 31, of Beacon, was arrested on Saturday, May 22, when New York State Police pulled over his 2012 Subaru Impreza on Route 9 in Croton-On-Hudson, said Trooper AJ Hicks. An investigation during the stop determined Usher was driving while intoxicated and in possession of approximately 25.2 grams of cocaine. Dutchess Man Caught With Crack Cocaine With Intent To Sell, Police Say
A Poughkeepsie man is behind bars after police officers stopped to check out a suspicious vehicle and found crack cocaine, according to Town of Lloyd police. Eugene L. Cummings, 27, was arrested about 3:20 a.m. Tuesday when officers responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint on Half Moon Road in Highland, said Lt. James Janso. Responding Lloyd police found a taxi parked at the of a driveway of a residence and Cummings, a passenger in the taxi, was found to be in possession of a gram of crack cocaine, Janso said.
