Officers from the department received a report from a Cherry Lane resident shortly before 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, about two men in hooded sweatshirts that stole packages from a local home and took off in a box truck. Alert Issued For Porch Pirates In Rockland Rockland County residents should be on high alert for porch packages, after several deliveries were reported stolen to police. The Ramapo Police Department issued an alert cautioning that in the past week, there were three separate reports of packages that were stolen from the front porches of local residences.
