Trio Nabbed With Drugs, Gun At Inn In Region, Police Say
Three men were charged with various drug possession charges following a warrants raid on an inn in the region.
The warrants search occurred in Sullivan County in Monticello at the Monticello Inn around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28.
The first search warrant was executed in room 218 where deputies arrested Jacob McCoy, aka “Scar”, age 50, of the Bronx.
McCoy, who is a 3-time felony offender, was found to be in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl, said Undersheriff Eric Chaboty of the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office.

A Hudson Valley man who allegedly peddled fentanyl to customers including friends, has been charged in connection with the death of two, and the overdoses of at least five people.
Rockland County resident Justin Turnick, age 25, of Congers, was arrested on Wednesday, July 12 by agents with the Westchester Resident Agent Task Force for the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), along with local law enforcement agencies, said Damian Williams, the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York.

Parolee Nabbed With Gun, Drugs In Newburgh, Police Say
A 23-year-old Hudson Valley parolee was allegedly nabbed with a loaded semi-automatic pistol and drugs after police received a narcotics complaint.
The incident took place in Orange County around 1:15 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 7, in the area of William Street and Benkard Avenue in the city of Newburgh.
Newburgh Police said they attempted to stop parolee Kadeem Knight, of Newburgh, after receiving a narcotics complaint.
When officers attempted to stop Knight, he engaged officers in a brief foot pursuit before his apprehension, police said.

A former Hudson Valley fire lieutenant has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to operating as a major drug trafficker.
Orange County resident Paul Smith, age 52, of Deerpark, was sentenced to 10 to 25 years on Wednesday, Nov. 16, said Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler.
Smith, a paid lieutenant with the city of Middletown Fire Department at the time of his arrest, was also sentenced to five years post-release supervision, the DA's Office said.

Two Hudson Valley brothers were arrested during dual searches in connection with narcotics sales.
Eugene Taylor, age 49, of the City of Poughkeepsie, and Glen Taylor, age 52, of Hyde Park, were arrested on Thursday, Jan. 28, following the searches, said Frank Tasciotti, assistant coordinator of the Dutchess County Drug Task Force.
The warrants were served in the City of Poughkeepsie and at the Inn at Hyde Park, Tasciotti said.
