Orange County Locale Among Top 15 Small Towns To Visit In US, Report Says Smithsonian Magazine has listed a Hudson Valley locale among the 15 best small towns to visit this year. The Village of Goshen, in Orange County, has a population of fewer than 5,400 residents. The magazine cited its scenic natural landscape and history of horse racing, noting that the town is known as the "Trotting Capital of the World."  The town has a Harness Racing Museum where visitors can learn about the history of the sport in the area and see artifacts. Man Nabbed For Orange County Bank Robbery, Carjacking A man has been arrested for allegedly robbing an Orange County bank after a pursuit with state police. Dutchess County resident Leonard Dolson, age 45, of Beekman, was arrested around 9:42 p.m., on Friday, March 19, after state police in Orange County assisted the Village of Goshen Police Department with a bank robbery on Main Street in the village of Goshen, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Following the robbery, state police were provided with a description of the suspect and the vehicle used. Measles Outbreak Grows In Orange County The Orange County Department of Health is advising residents that as of Tuesday, Dec.18, there are six confirmed cases of measles in the county.  Three of these cases have been confirmed in children who attend school in Orange County, the department said.  The Health Department is working closely with the affected schools and individuals have been notified.  Unvaccinated and under-vaccinated persons have been excluded from school since measles is a highly contagious respiratory disease caused by a virus that is spread by direct contact with the nasal or throat secretions of …
