Man Rushed To Hospital By Helicopter After Being Pinned Between Car, Building In Hudson Valley
A man was critically injured after becoming pinned between a car and a building in the Hudson Valley, firefighters said. The incident happened in Putnam County on Friday, Feb. 2 around 12:30 p.m., when a vehicle that had been put on a mechanical lift suddenly accelerated forward, pinning a man against a building in Carmel, according to the Lake Carmel Fire Department. DWI Crash: Driver Flees After Woman Critically Injured In Hudson Valley, Police Say
A Hudson Valley man who allegedly fled from a two-vehicle crash involving alcohol that critically injured a woman was found hiding in his home. The crash took place in Ulster County around 6:30 a.m., Friday, March 31 on Route 9W in Barclay Heights. Responding Saugerties officers found a 2018 GMC Sierra Pickup and a 2008 Ford Taurus SUV, both vehicles heavily damaged. No occupants were located within the GMC Sierra. Police: Skydiver Attempting 'Swoop Landing' Killed In Orange County
A skydiver who attempted a "swoop landing" died from injuries suffering during an accident in the Hudson Valley. It happened on Sunday, July 5 at approximately 5:40 p.m. in Ulster County. State police responded to 55 Sand Hill Road in the town of Gardiner for a report of a skydiver with injuries subsequent to a hard landing. Orange County Head-On Crash Hospitalizes Five, One With Life-Threatening Injuries, Police Say
Five people were injured in a two-vehicle head-on crash in Orange County. The crash took place around 8:15 p.m., Saturday, May 2, at the intersection of Lakes and Nelson Roads in Greenwood Lake, said Lt. John Rader of the Warwick Police. Four people were transported to Orange Regional Medical Center with injuries, Rader said. A fifth person received life-threatening injuries was flown by LifeNet to Hackensack Hospital, he added. Man Rescued After Arm Becomes Stuck Between Rollers At Manufacturer
A 33-year-old man is in intensive care after his arm became stuck in a large machine while at work late Monday afternoon. Michael Avery of Wappingers Falls was rescued around 4:35 p.m. Monday at the Dunmore Corporation in Brewster, after his arm was caught between two large rollers in a machine, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks. One person was seriously injured in a double tractor-trailer crash on I-87 that closed the major roadway in Orange County for more than 12 hours. The crash occurred around 3:52 p.m. Monday in the town of Newburgh, said New York State Trooper Michael P. Cassella.
