Two-Alarm Blaze Heavily Damages Home, Injures Firefighter In Area One firefighter was injured in a massive, two-alarm blaze that heavily damaged a single-family home in Red Hook and sent the homeowner to the hospital for anxiety-related issues. Red Hook firefighters responded to a report of smoke around 11:30 p.m. Sunday at 36 Spencer Drive, according to Red Hook Asst. Chief Shawn Ball. Orangeburg Road and Pearl River were closed to allow first responders room to battle the large-scale fire that started around 4:15 p.m. Monday, with a reported partial building collapse at 314 Orangeburg Road, officials said.
