Head-On Crash: Hudson Valley Woman Killed After Failing To Negotiate Curve, Police Say A 79-year-old woman from the region was killed after she allegedly failed to negotiate a curve and hit a Dodge Ram 1500 head-on. According to Trooper Steven Nevel, the crash took place in Ulster County around 6 p.m., Friday, June 23 at Routre 28 and Bridge Street in the town of Shandaken. Nevel said an investigation found that a 2002 Subaru Outback, driven by Anna C. Maguire, age 79, from Woodstock, was traveling eastbound on Route 28 in the area of Bridge Street in Phonecia when she failed to negotiate a curve and crossed over into the westbound lane and struck a 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 head-o…

Suspect On Loose After Bank Robbery In Area The FBI Safe Streets Task Force and the Ramapo Police Department are offering a reward for help identifying a bank robbery suspect.  Investigators say a man went into the Chase Bank in Ramapo, on Jan. 24, demanded money from the teller, and threatened to set off a box he claimed was filled with explosives, the FBI said. Investigators say the robber left with a large number of new $2 bills with sequential serial numbers.  Surveillance photos show the suspect drove off in a dark gray or black 2015-2018 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad-Cab truck.  The black vehicle the robber used in the getaway.FBI …
