New York State Police investigators in the Hudson Valley are seeking the public’s assistance in locating wanted suspects who have allegedly been stealing copper from Central Hudson substations in the region. An alert was issued by state police investigators on Friday, Jan. 7 as they attempt to locate suspects who have been removing copper from multiple substations in northern Dutchess County. Nyack Man Charged In Theft Of $150,000 Worth Of Copper From Hardware Manufacturer A Nyack man conspired with two accomplices to steal more than $150,000 worth of copper from a North Jersey hardware manufacturer, authorities charged. Police arrested the trio after a manager at Elgen/Capital Hardware Inc. in the Bergen County town of Closter reported large quantities of copper missing from the business. Now-former employee Eliseo Adorno, 47, worked with Alvaro Baca, 27, of Roselle, New Jersey, who was the company's shipping manager, and trucker Dimitris M.
