Restaurant Destroyed By Fire After Drunk Driver Crashes Into Building, Police Say A 47-year-old man was charged with DWI after allegedly crashing his vehicle into a popular restaurant that then burst into flames. The incident took place in Ulster County around 9:40 p.m., Sunday, June 7, in the town of Lloyd, said Chief of Lloyd Police James Janson. According to Janso, William Judge, of Highland, was driving south on South Street when lost control of his 2019 Subaru and crashed through the front room of the Gunk Haus Restaurant.
