Man Charged With Removing Teens From Area Residential Treatment Center

A 20-year-old is facing criminal charges after police say he removed two teenagers from an area residential treatment center they were ordered to stay.

New York State Police troopers arrested Poughkeepsie resident Tyrick Angol after he allegedly picked up and removed two 16-year-old children from the Berkshire Farms Center in Kinderhook and left with them. The teenagers had been mandated to reside there by a court order.

Police said the investigation led them to Angol, who was arrested on Thursday, Jan 31 and the teenagers were returned to Berkshire Farm Center. Angol was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, misdemeanors. He has since been released and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Kinderhook Court this week.
