Orange County Inmate Pleads Not Guilty To Attempted Murder Charges

GOSHEN, N.Y. – An inmate at Orange County Jail pleaded not guilty to second-degree attempted murder charges on Thursday, according to the Times Herald-Record.

Jermain Boykin, 40, allegedly attempted to strangle another inmate, James Beckwith while in the jail awaiting trial on drug charges. Beckwith is serving time in Orange County Jail for having shot Boykin in February of this year over a shared love interest, the Record reported. 

Boykin is due in court again on Oct. 30.
