Loschiavo was among 18 award recipients recognized for their contributions to learning at the college.
“These annual awards recognize faculty members who serve as role models in demonstrating commitment to the success of Berkeley College students,” said Beth M. Castiglia, the college's provost. "We know they are successful because of their love of teaching. The feedback from their students and colleagues reflect this.”
Loschiavo expressed his gratitude to the school’s faculty for helping him transition from the business world to the field of education.
“When I retired from my successful corporate international banking career, my life goal became to give back to society the knowledge and experiences I was lucky enough to have accumulated,” he said. “The fact that many faculty colleagues have selflessly offered their time and skills to guide me through the initial stages of my teaching experience is to me the essence of what the Berkeley family is all about.”
Berkeley, which has more than 8,000 students in more than 20 career fields, comprises the Schools of Business, Professional Studies, Health Studies, Liberal Arts and Graduate Studies.
