Person Trapped After Vehicle Rolls Over In Westchester County
A person had to be rescued after they were trapped inside a rolled-over vehicle in Northern Westchester. On Sunday, Nov. 27 around 12:20 a.m., firefighters responded to a report of an overturned vehicle in Yorktown Heights on Crow Hill Road in the area of Colonial Hill Road, according to the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department. Andrew Cuomo may not have exactly traded in his business suit for a superhero’s cape but he was caught on camera helping a passenger trapped in an overturned vehicle on the Brooklyn Queens Expressway. A woman was rescued from her submerged vehicle in freezing water following a crash on the Saw Mill Parkway. The incident took place around 8:23 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18, when the Yonkers Fire Department Engine Company 310 was dispatched to a call of a motor vehicle accident on the Saw Mill River Parkway, said Deputy Chief Joseph Citrone. Two Good Samaritans are being hailed as heroes after rushing to pull an unconscious woman who was trapped inside an overturned vehicle engulfed in flames on the Taconic State Parkway near the Northern Westchester/Putnam border on Thursday.
