Westchester County Man Charged With Killing Stepfather, Lighting Relative's Home On Fire: DA
A man from Northern Westchester is charged with fatally stabbing his stepfather before lighting a relative's home on fire.
On Wednesday, Sept. 14, around 12:30 a.m., 30-year-old Shane Gilleo of Peekskill is accused of stabbing 48-year-old Edward Reeves numerous times with a knife at a residence in Peekskill on North James Street, according to a release by Westchester County District Attorney Miriam Rocah on Thursday, Nov. 10.
Reeves was taken to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, where he later died, Rocah said.

Man Admits To Murder Of 21-Year-Old Woman In Hudson Valley
A Hudson Valley man has pleaded guilty to murder and other charges in connection with the shooting death of a young woman.
Orange County resident, Carlos Rivera, age 49, of Newburgh, made the plea on Monday, May 2 for the murder which took place in New Windsor in December 2019.
During the incident, Chelsea Debidi, age 21, of Walden, was killed at the Knox Village Apartments in New Windsor at the home of her 20-year-old boyfriend’s family, said the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
The boyfriend was also shot and seriously injured, the DA's office said.

The murder trial for three men implicated in the death of a college student from Westchester is set to begin next week.
