Man Hospitalized After Mount Vernon Easter Stabbing A man was hospitalized following an early morning stabbing near an intersection in Westchester, officials said. The incident happened on Sunday, March 31 just after 2:45 a.m., when a male victim was stabbed multiple times in Mount Vernon near the area of South 4th Avenue and East Sandford Boulevard, according to Mount Vernon city officials.  Arriving first responders found the victim with several stab wounds and quickly rushed him to Jacobi Medical Center, where he is now in stable condition. Off-Duty Officer Involved In Shooting: 3 Injured In Mount Vernon, Police Say Authorities are investigating a shooting incident that involved an off-duty officer and left three people injured in Westchester, police said.  The incident happened on Saturday night, Aug. 19, when two people were shot in Mount Vernon on the 300 block of South 4th Avenue, according to the city's police department.  A total of three people were hospitalized as a result of the incident, authorities added.  The off-duty officer was involved in the incident, State Police Trooper Aaron J.
