Northern Westchester Woman Among 5 Charged During Memorial Day Weekend Detail Five people from the Hudson Valley and Connecticut ended their three-day Memorial Day weekends with drunk driving charges and a host of traffic tickets, police announced.  The arrests all happened during a weekend detail in Putnam County, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office announced on Monday, June 5.  The detail resulted in the arrests of the following people, according to sheriff's deputies: Litchfield County resident Nadine L. Westchester Man Nabbed With Fentanyl, Crack Cocaine, Authorities Say A man was arrested on narcotics charges during a routine traffic stop in the region. Northern Westchester resident William E. Felling, age 40, of Somers, was arrested on Friday, Sept. 2 in Putnam County on Route 6 in the town of Southeast. During the stop an investigation found Felling was in possession of a quantity of fentanyl and crack cocaine, said Putnam County Sheriff Kevin J. McConville. Felling was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was released on his own recognizance, pending a return court date on Thursday, Sept. 15.

Motorist Stopped On Route 6 Charged With DWI A driver stopped on the middle of Route 6 in Putnam County was allegedly intoxicated when he was busted by members of the Sheriff’s Office, officials said. Putnam County Sheriff Deputy Matthew Shelters was on patrol shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23 when he spotted a vehicle that was stopped in the middle of the road on Route 6 in Southeast, blocking the southbound lane of traffic. Further investigation determined that the driver, Perfecto Lopez-Garcia, age 39, was the sole occupant of the vehicle, and Shelters said that Lopez-Garcia appeared intoxicated when he was approached. …
