A Westchester man faces assault charges after striking the driver of the vehicle they were both in while traveling on a highway in Fairfield County, police said. The incident happened on Thursday, July 27 around 5:50 p.m., when Connecticut State Police received numerous 911 calls that reported an active assault occurring inside a Jeep traveling on Interstate 95 northbound in Greenwich in the area of Exit 5. A Fairfield County man has been charged with allegedly attempting to have sex with a 14-year-old girl in an online sex chat sting run by the police. David Boyd Rewcastle, age 59, of Darien, was arrested on Friday, Sept. 23, by Greenwich Police. A Hudson Valley man was arrested for assault after allegedly attacking another man at a Fairfield County shopping center. Rockland County resident Dane Kurt Fender, 31, of Garnerville, was arrested on Saturday, Dec. 19 by Greenwich Police at the Riverside Commons Shopping Center, Riverside, said Captain Mark E. Mount Vernon Man Arrested For Alleged Sexual Assault Of Juvenile
A Westchester man wanted for the sexual assault of a minor has been extradited back to Fairfield County after being picked up by the FBI. Leland Robinson, 31, of Mount Vernon, was arrested on Monday, Jan. 6, on a warrant out of New Canaan for the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile, said, Lt. Jason Ferraro of the New Canaan Police. Robinson was first arrested by New Canaan Police in October of last year when officers responded to a home for a report of a suspicious man in a driveway. A Fairfield County man who sexually assaulted a teenage girl from Westchester temporarily staying with his family has pleaded guilty in Bridgeport Superior Court. Gusatvo Salazar, 38, pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a child after abusing a 15-year-old from Port Chester who was staying with his family in Bridgeport while attending an area high school. A woman from Northern Westchester is facing charges after she allegedly violated her protective order in front of a child, police say. Greenwich Police responded to a residence in the Back County section of Greenwich on the report of a person displaying disorderly conduct on Wednesday, Feb. 20. Police say 44-year-old Carmen Santos of Bedford violated the conditions of a protective order in the presence of a minor child. Westchester Man Grabs Woman By Neck In Front Of Child, Takes Her Vehicle In CT, Police Say
A 33-year-old Westchester man was arrested after grabbing a woman by the neck in front of her child while forcibly taking her car keys in Connecticut. Darel Franklin of Port Chester was arrested on Saturday by Milford Police after receiving a report of a domestic dispute, said the Milford Police Department. He later allegedly took the victim's vehicle without her permission. Franklin was charged with disorderly conduct, robbery, larceny, assault, and risk of injury to a child. A 41-year-old man was arrested for sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl in the berth of his tractor-trailer while stopped at a Fairfield Service Plaza on I-95, Connecticut State Police said. Chad J. Area Man Admits To Internet Sex Scheme Involving Minors
A Putnam County man has been given a suspended sentence for attempting to entice a 16-year-old Fairfield County boy to have sex with him online. Garrison resident Dylan Quinn, 25, pleaded guilty to risk of injury to a child last week and has been sentenced to a suspended seven-year term, followed by five years of probation. Quinn must also undergo sex offender treatment and cannot have unsupervised contacts with minors.
