A 20-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly assaulting employees at a McDonald’s restaurant in Westchester while stealing food from behind the counter, police said. The Greenburgh Police Department responded to McDonald’s on North Central Avenue in Hartsdale on Sunday, Oct. 11, where there was a report of a man stealing food. A fire that broke out in the kitchen of a McDonald’s in Westchester was knocked down before it could spread through an entire city block. Crews from the Mount Vernon Fire Department responded at approximately 7:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 12 to McDonald’s on Gramatan Avenue, where there were multiple reports of smoke spreading to adjacent buildings. McDonald’s is planning to fill more than 10,000 positions throughout its New York locations this summer. A Fairfield County man “is loving it” after taking police to court over a distracted driving ticket when an officer apparently mistook a hash brown in his hand for a cell phone. Westport resident Jason Stiber fought the law, and won, after being issued a $300 ticket for distracted driving last year.
