18-Year-Old Gets Jail Time For Fatally Shooting Westchester Resident
An 18-year-old will spend several years in prison after fatally shooting a Westchester man as he was leaving a store. Maliki Johnson, age 18, of Dover, Delaware was sentenced to nine years to life in state prison on Friday, May 5 for the 2020 murder of Yonkers resident Javon Merrill, the Westchester County District Attorney's Office announced. Westchester Teen Pleads Guilty To Assault For High School Stabbing
A teenager has pleaded guilty to assault for his role in a high school in Westchester County stabbing earlier this year. Bryan Stamps, 16, appeared in Westchester County Court on Thursday following his extradition from Alabama in May. Stamps had been charged as a juvenile offender on charges that include second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.
