Retired Mount Vernon Police Sergeant, Army Vet Dies
A city in Westchester is mourning the loss of a retired police sergeant who served his community for over a quarter of a century. Retired Mount Vernon Police Sergeant Jessie Kimble died on Friday, Aug. 18 at the age of 84, Mount Vernon Police announced. Kimble, a resident of Yonkers, served with the department for over 25 years before retiring, according to his obituary. He joined the department after returning home from service with the US Army.
