Jeffords of Warwick who was also indicted on three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, was employed as a teacher's aide at the Rockland BOCES Jesse Kapan School in West Nyack, came to work on March 29, with a fully loaded gun in her purse, according to the Rockland County District Attorney's Office. Teacher's Aide Fired After Bringing Gun To School A 24-year-old teacher's aide who was arrested for bringing a gun to a school in her purse has been fired. Gillian J. Jeffords, 24, of Warwick, was fired Wednesday evening, effective immediately, from the Jesse Kaplan School of the BOCES Campus in West Nyack, according to Scott Salotto, director of communications for BOCES.
